Blowing The Whistle!

This was a fantastic book. Walter L.Harris described the corruption and cheating ways of former mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his EPU very candidly. I'm glad Harris, Nelthrope, and Brown had the courage to take on Kilpatrick because if not, he probably would still be running things in the city of Detroit.
Overall it was a great book and i highly recommend it.

This is not just a story but a testimony of a sworn Detroit Police officer, when faced with the opportunity to tarnish the very badge he earned, Walter Harris chose to keep his integrity intact, even if it meant defying a corrupt, sitting mayor. Harris details not only what it was like for him but how he was betrayed and threatened by those who chose to go along to get along. This is a must read for anyone who is facing or has faced intense pressure to do the wrong thing, but chose to do the right thing anyway. Kudos Walter Harris.

True Story / Great true crime book...

This book is a sad but true story about Detroit's infamous corrupt mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his ignorance to upholding the city's rules and laws of the mayors office. The worst part is that this book isn't referring to a distant past, but yet it is a fresh national embarrassment of most recent times here in Detroit. The ex mayor of Detroit is still being faced with charges today and his family is just as bad as he is, I would expect more books to come about this family of political corruption and embarrassment.
